Where should I start to improve my tennis?
With the technical basics (grip, forehand, serve) and footwork: they are what most often limits progress. See tennis technique.
Should beginners work on the mental side?
Yes, in a simple form: routines, breathing, dealing with mistakes. Our mental preparation guide explains how.
Which method is the Coaching Corner advice based on?
It draws on the Mouratoglou Method, which starts from the player rather than from a single technical model: their qualities, profile and goals. Each article gives concrete pointers and drills you can adapt to your level. To structure your work, start with our guide on improving your technique.
Can I put this advice into practice with a coach?
Yes. The Mouratoglou Academy, on the French Riviera (Biot, near Nice), welcomes children, teenagers and adults on weekend or week-long tennis camps. Coaches work on the same themes as the Coaching Corner, technique, fitness, mindset and tactics, with follow-up tailored to each player.
