Titles, year by year.
Pavlyuchenkova turned professional at the end of 2005 but really made her mark on the WTA Tour from 2008, once her junior career was over. She reached the top 50 within a few months and the top 20 in 2010, the year of her first title in Monterrey, a tournament she went on to win four times. Although she has never been in the top 10 herself (11th at best, in 2021), she has beaten 38 players from that elite group, starting with world No. 3 Jelena Janković at Indian Wells in 2009, and she beat world No. 1 Angelique Kerber in the 2017 Monterrey final. In August 2020, on the courts of the Mouratoglou Academy, she became the only woman to date to win a UTS event, beating Ons Jabeur and then Alizé Cornet under the nickname “The Thunder”.
Junior career
- 2006
The year she joined the Mouratoglou Academy: Australian Open junior champion against Caroline Wozniacki, US Open junior champion against Tamira Paszek and Roland-Garros junior finalist against Agnieszka Radwańska. World junior champion at the end of the season, one of the youngest in history after Gabriela Sabatini and Martina Hingis.
- 2007
Retained her Australian Open junior title against Madison Brengle. She won 13 ITF junior titles in all, including three majors.

Personal life & interests.
Widely praised for her cheerful, outgoing personality, “Nastia”, who now speaks fluent French, loves fashion, music, dance and film. She has several tattoos, including a lightning bolt behind her left ear that helped earn her the nickname “The Thunder” when she won UTS in 2020. Sport has been part of her life for as long as she can remember: her grandparents were international basketball players and her mother a swimmer.
